Full Spectrum Jazz Ensemble

 


MARCH 27, 2010 - Neeman-Matthews Auditorium U.S. Air Force Reserve








Full Spectrum is a nationally acclaimed musical group, noted for its distinctive sound and entertaining blend of musical styles. Composed of 12 musicians, each member brings remarkable expertise and flair to this versatile group. This ensemble delights audiences around the world with an enticing mixture of selections, ranging from original compositions by today’s most esteemed composers to the familiar sounds of the Big Band era. This jazz ensemble continually broadens its repertoire with arrangements tailored specifically for the group’s unique instrumentation. This highly charged group has performed throughout the United States and overseas including Puerto Rico, Russia, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Macedonia, Panama, Japan and Korea. The band has also performed at several major jazz festivals, including Jacksonville, Clearwater, and Hollywood, in Florida, and the Savannah Jazz Festival and Atlanta-Montreaux Music Festival in Georgia. The group has performed with such noted artists as composer Rob McConnell, saxophonist and educator Jerry Coker, tenor saxophonist Ernie Watts, alto saxophonist Mike Smith, baritone saxophonist Nick Brignola, and trumpeters Jon Faddis, Bobby Shew, and Marvin Stamm. The Jazz Ensemble has also toured with country music group Ricochet and singer/songwriter Lisa Angelle. All members of the U.S. Air Force Reserve Jazz Ensemble are full-time professional Air Force musicians working in support of Air Force and Air Force Reserve recruiting and community relations objectives.

WCAC will be offering to opportunity to purchase a CD of the 2000 Christmas Concert and prints of the Neeman Marcus Auditorium.

Name plates to go on the back of seats will also be available for purchase.

The Mason's will be selling barbeque sandwiches.

There will be a long table down at the front of the auditorium where people can fill out WCAC membership forms, pay dues, and make donations for the upkeep of the building.
